Peroorkada is one of the crowded residential and commercial areas of Thiruvananthapuram city. At Peroorkada junction, four roads lead to different directions Nedumangadu, East Fort, M C Road via Mannanthala and Sasthamangalam via Oolanpara. The Peroorkada market, one of the oldest markets in Thiruvananthapuram city, has recently received a major facelift with the City Corporation completing the first phase of the project to set up a modern commercial complex and shopping centre at Peroorkada. Government Mental Hospital and ESI Hospital are major landmarks of Peroorkada.
